If you are in need crew for the race to Hawaii, or other ocean sails: practices, races, the 150-mile qualifier? I am interested in ocean sailing crew opportunities to improve my sailing skills on any boat with a competent and safety-minded crew. I completed the 2022 Pac Cup on the Wauquiez Centurian 42, Chance, and am looking forward to more ocean sailing.
My focus in the last years has been growing my experience in ocean sailing. I am experienced in racing with both symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers in positions all around the boat. I have my own gear and have the International Offshore Safety at Sea Course with Hands-on Training Certification.
I am easy going, level headed, I learn quickly, and I work well with others. I have no special dietary needs, allergies, or medical conditions. I don't smoke or do drugs, though a drink after a great day of sailing is appreciated.
In the 2022 Pac Cup I learned and used Expedition and Ventus as the off watch navigator. In preparation for and during the race I ran Expedition routings, developed polars, sail crossovers, competition tracking, and using Ventus to display Expedition data in the cockpit. I am willing to do any job needed to help the crew succeed if that means provisioning, boat preparation, or boat repairs.
